What Bugs Missoula, Season by Season

Spring
Ants wake up and start foraging indoors, and carpenter ants send out winged swarmers. Queen wasps look for spots to start new nests under eaves and decks.
Summer
Wasp and yellowjacket nests grow fast, in the ground, in wall voids and under rooflines. Spiders are busy outside around lights and siding.
Fall
Yellowjackets are at their largest and most aggressive around food. As nights get cold, mice and spiders start moving indoors.
Winter
